Vegetarian Sautéed Mushrooms

Mushrooms sauteed in Supreme Sauce with jasmine rice. In Ghana and other parts of West Africa, this is referred to as “rice and stew”

 

Ingredients

Sautéed Mushrooms

  • 1 pound common mushroom

  • 100 g onions

  • 1 large bell pepper

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon Mrs Dash Seasoning (salt-free)

  • 4.5 table spoon Supreme Sauce Marinade

  • 2 table spoon vegetable oil

Boiled rice

  • 2 cups of jasmine rice

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 3 cups of water

Method

Sauteed vegetables

  1. Chop mushrooms, onions and bell peppers into fine slices

  2. Pour 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil into frying pan or wok

  3. Heat at low temperature for three minutes and add chopped vegetables

  4. Add seasonings and stir

  5. Pour Supreme Sauce in pan and mix evenly for 5 minutes until vegetables soften

Boiled rice

  1. Pour rice into a colander to rinse

  2. Pour into bowl and add water and salt

  3. Stir and cover with a tight lid

  4. Leave to steam for 10 minutes at low temperature until rice softens

  5. Enjoy!
